Active View

In the Wedge View, when you click the mouse in one of the four panes of the Wedge View (Perspective, Top, Front, Side), this becomes the "active" view (or pane). The active view within the Wedge View serves the following purposes:

1. When zooming with the keyboard shortcut keys (e.g. + / – numeric keys), or the zoom options in the toolbar, only the active view is zoomed. This allows each pane to be zoomed independently.
2. When using the Export Image File option, only the active view is saved to a file.
3. When using the Copy option, only the active view is copied to the clipboard.

When a view is active, you will notice that the name in the lower-left corner of the view – Top, Front, Side or Perspective – is highlighted with an asterisk*, as shown in the following figure.
