Perimeter Support Designer View

The Perimeter Support Designer view allows you to add or edit support (bolts, shotcrete, or pressure) to the perimeter of your excavation. The Perimeter Support Designer is a 2-dimensional view which displays:

• The Opening Section boundary
• The Perimeter Wedges, in two dimensions, around the perimeter of the excavation
• The Perimeter Support which has been applied (bolts, shotcrete, or pressure)

The two-dimensional display of the Perimeter Wedges allows you to easily determine the extent of pattern bolting, shotcrete or pressure which must be applied, in order to support the Perimeter Wedges.

You can access the Perimeter Support Designer at any time by:

• Selecting the Perimeter Support Designer toolbar button
• Selecting Perimeter Support from the Select View sub-menu of the View menu.

Sidebar Options

For the Perimeter Support Designer view, the following options are available in the Sidebar:

• Wedge Visibility
• Bolt Properties
• Add Bolt Pattern
• Edit Bolt Pattern
• Delete Bolt Pattern
• Shotcrete Properties
• Add Shotcrete Layer
• Edit Shotcrete Layer
• Delete Shotcrete Layer
• Tunnel Axis Orientation
• Wedge Information

Most of the options in the Sidebar are also available from the main menu (e.g., Support menu) or the right-click menu. The Sidebar simply provides alternative shortcuts to these options.

Pressure

The options for defining Pressure support (Add Pressure, Edit Pressure, Delete Pressure) are available through the Support menu. They are not available from the Sidebar.
