View Limits
Before you define the Opening Section boundary, the View Limits option allows you to set the drawing limits of the Opening Section View so that the limits encompass the coordinates you will be entering.
To use the View Limits option:
- Make sure the Opening Section View is selected.
- Select View Limits from the View menu.
- In the View Limits dialog, enter the X Coordinate and Y Coordinate of the lower left (minimum XY) and upper right (maximum XY) corners of the drawing region you would like to work with.
- Select OK and the limits of the Opening Section View will be updated to encompass the limits you have just entered.
- The actual limits will in general not be exactly the ones you entered unless the box you have defined is exactly the same "shape" as the current window. In any case, the limits will always encompass the coordinates you entered (i.e. it will never be smaller than the limits you entered).
- Once your limits are set, you are ready to define the Opening Section, as described in the Add Opening Section topic.
The View Limits option is intended for use when initially defining the Opening Section. After the Opening Section has been created, the Zoom and Pan options can be used to adjust the viewing region with respect to the Opening Section boundary, if desired.
