The following is a listing of major feature additions which have been made in the latest Maintenance + release of UnWedge.

Version 5.014

AUTOMATE FROM EXCEL

• Added option to Save As UnWedge File(s) in Automate from Excel dialog.

IMPROVED PROBABILITY VIEW

• Added option to Export to Excel/Plot in Excel for exporting computed Probability View segment data to Excel.

IMPROVED EXPORT DATASET

• Added option to export Joint Combinations to Export Dataset for exporting data for Probabilistic Analysis when Compute All Joint Combinations is checked in Input Data dialog.
• Combination and Subsample information, along with Dip, Dip Direction, and Material Property for each of three Joints for the sample can be output.

Version 5.012

VERTICAL SHAFT

• Select between Tunnel or Vertical Shaft analysis mode in Project Settings.
• The Vertical Shaft mode orients the tunnel axis vertically (i.e., Plunge = 90 degrees).
• Option to add Ground Plane to tunnel roof end. Ground Plane truncates roof wedge and does not allow for End Supports to intersect.
• Option to apply Water Pressure in Joint Properties by either specifying a Distance Above Roof End or using the Ground/Truncation Plane as the phreatic surface.

IMPROVED END BOLT PATTERN

• Added Local Trend and Plunge option in Add/Edit Bolt Pattern on Ends dialog to specify the Spot Bolt Orientation by trend and plunge relative to the tunnel axis.

IMPROVED PERIMETER BOLT PATTERN

• Added Local Trend and Plunge option in Add/Edit Bolt Pattern on Perimeterdialog to specify the Spot Bolt Orientation by trend and plunge relative to the tunnel axis.

IMPROVED SPOT BOLTS

• Added Local Trend and Plunge option in Add/Edit Spot Bolt on Ends and Add/Edit Spot Bolt on Perimeterdialogs to specify the Spot Bolt Orientation by trend and plunge relative to the tunnel axis.
• Added Angle To Local X Axis option in Add/Edit Spot Bolt on Perimeterdialog to specify the Spot Bolt Orientation by an angle relative to the x-axis of the opening section and an out of plane angle.
• Added Out of Plane Offset option in Add/Edit Spot Bolt on Perimeterdialog to specify the Spot Bolt offset along the z-axis.
• Added Apply to End option in Add/Edit Spot Bolt On Ends dialog to apply Spot Bolt to Near End Only, or Far End, regardless of the current Wedge Visibility.
• Added Adjust Installation Point option in the Edit Spot Bolt on Ends andEdit Spot Bolt on Perimeter dialogs while editing Spot Bolts in the Support Designer, to allow for precise placement in the 2D section by either cursor drag/drop or coordinate input in command bar.

3D WEDGE VIEW AXES RULER

• Added ruler markings in the Top, Front, and Side planes of the 3D Wedge View when Axes option is applied.
• Axes option has been added to the right-click menu, View menu, and toolbar.

IMPROVED PROBABILISTIC PLOTS

• Added Show Wedge option to right-click menus in Histogram, Cumulative, and Scatter Plot views. Note: This performs the equivalent action of double-clicking on the plot which opens a 3D Wedge View displaying the Picked Wedge.

BATCH COMPUTE

• Compute several Deterministic, Probabilistic, and/or Combinations analysis models using saved UnWedge model files. Quickly generate results for several UnWedge model files (.weg, .weg5) through Batch Compute feature.
• Option to add UnWedge model files to File Queue individually and/or from a folder.
• Option to output results in Excel (.xlsx) format for viewing and data post-processing.

AUTOMATE FROM EXCEL

• Compute several Deterministic, Probabilistic, or Combinations analysis cases using pre-processed Excel input data. Quickly generate results for several UnWedge inputs through Automate from Excel feature.
• Option to add Excel input files to File Queue individually and/or from a folder.
• Option to output results in Excel (.xlsx) format for viewing and data post-processing.

END TRUNCATION PLANE

• Option to add End Truncation Plane(s) to tunnel ends. End Truncation Planes truncate End Wedges but allows for End Supports to intersect.

TUNNEL ORIENTATION ANALYZER

• Analyze a range of tunnel orientations (in increments of trends and/or plunges) for the currently selected joint combination or for all possible joint combinations through the Tunnel Orientation Analyzer feature.
• Find critical minimum(s) or maximum(s) (i.e., Min. Factor of Safety, Max. Required Support Pressure, Wedge Weight, etc.) and the associated joint combination(s) and tunnel orientation(s).

IMPROVED TUNNEL AXIS PLOT

• Added option to Consider All Joint Combinations in the Tunnel Axis Plot Settings dialog.
• When Consider All Joint Combinations is selected, minimum or maximum data values take into account computed wedge information from all combinations.

IMPROVED DISPLAY OPTIONS

• Added option in Display Options dialog to increase size of Bolts in End Support View up to 200% bigger.

IMPROVED END BOLT PATTERN

• Added option in Add/Edit Bolt Pattern on Ends dialog to apply End Bolt Patterns to Both Ends, Near End Only, or Far End Only.

IMPROVED UI

• Minor UI updates to icons and dialog layouts.

3D WEDGE VIEW

• Added Reset North Rotation option to 3D Wedge View right-click menu. This sets the tunnel rotation such that the North Arrow is pointing "up".

IMPROVED PROBABILISTIC PLOTS

• Improved the display of wedges created by double-clicking in the histogram, cumulative and scatter plots for charts of input data for a Probabilistic Analysis.
