Circle
The Circle option allows you to add a circle or ellipse anywhere on a view.
To add a Circle or Ellipse:
- Select Circle from the Tools menu, or from the toolbar.
- Enter a point graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line.
- As you move the mouse, an ellipse will be drawn between the point entered in step 2, and the current cursor location.
- Enter a second point graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line, and the Circle or Ellipse will be added to the view.
NOTE: To draw a CIRCLE, hold the Shift key while you are moving the mouse.
Tips:
- Double-click on the Circle / Ellipse to bring up the Format Tool dialog. In this dialog you can edit the Circle / Ellipse appearance. The color, weight, and style of the Circle / Ellipse outline line can all be changed. You can also choose not to have an outline for the Circle / Ellipse. Hatch and Fill patterns and colors can also be selected in the Format Tools dialog.
- In the Format Tool dialog, you can choose to display the circle as an Arc, and you specify the starting and ending angle (in degrees). Angles are measured counter-clockwise from the + ve x axis).
