Circle

The Circle option allows you to add a circle or ellipse anywhere on a view.

To add a Circle or Ellipse:

1. Select Circle from the Tools menu, or from the toolbar.
2. Enter a point graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line.
3. As you move the mouse, an ellipse will be drawn between the point entered in step 2, and the current cursor location.

NOTE: To draw a CIRCLE, hold the Shift key while you are moving the mouse.

4. Enter a second point graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line, and the Circle or Ellipse will be added to the view.

Tips:

• Double-click on the Circle / Ellipse to bring up the Format Tool dialog. In this dialog you can edit the Circle / Ellipse appearance. The color, weight, and style of the Circle / Ellipse outline line can all be changed. You can also choose not to have an outline for the Circle / Ellipse. Hatch and Fill patterns and colors can also be selected in the Format Tools dialog.
• In the Format Tool dialog, you can choose to display the circle as an Arc, and you specify the starting and ending angle (in degrees). Angles are measured counter-clockwise from the + ve x axis).
