Pencil

The Pencil option allows you to draw a free-form line on the view.

To use the Pencil:

1. Select Pencil from the Tools menu, or from the toolbar.
2. Click and HOLD the left mouse button, and drag the mouse to draw a free-form line.
3. When you are finished, release the mouse button. Press Enter to add the Pencil line to the view.

Tips:

• Double-click on the Pencil line to bring up the Format Tool dialog. In this dialog you can edit the Pencil line appearance. The line color, weight, and style can all be changed.
• Right-click on the Pencil to change the appearance of the Pencil in the view (i.e. Bring to Front, Send to Back, etc.). You can also edit the coordinates.

NOTE: The Pencil line is actually a polyline made up of a series of straight line segments. You can see this if you single click the left mouse button on the Pencil line. This will highlight all of the vertices which make up the line.
