Copying and Exporting Graph Data
When creating a distribution or slope-wide graph in RocFall, you have the option to Add to Report, Copy Data or Chart in Excel.
Add to Report
This feature lets you add the current chart (as an image) to the report generator. To add a chart to the report, you can select from the menu: Chart > Add View to Report or from the right-click pop-up menu.
Copy Data
This feature is used to place the actual numbers used to create the chart onto the clipboard. Once the numbers are there, you can paste them into a spreadsheet program (such as Excel) for further analysis.
Chart in Excel
This feature exports any chart, and its accompanying data, to Microsoft Excel.
To export a chart and plotting data to Excel:
- Make the view with the chart current.
- Select Export to Excel from the Graph menu, or from the toolbar. Microsoft Excel is automatically started, and a worksheet with the chart and data is created.
This option is also available in the default right-click menu of a chart view. (The default right-click menu is the menu that pops up with a right-click of the mouse in a view).
