Assigning Slope Materials

To assign materials:

1. Select Assign Materials from the Slope menu or the toolbar.
   
2. In the Assign Materials dialog, click on the material type you are going to be assigning.
3. Click on slope line segments to which you want to apply that material.
   You can also apply a material to a slope segment by clicking in the highlighted region below it, where applicable (for overhangs and vertical slope segments, you must click on the slope line segments themselves).
4. Close the Assign Materials dialog box when you have finished assigning the materials.

TIP: Note that you can go to the Slope Material Library by selecting Properties in the Assign Materials dialog.

To quickly assign a material to one segment of the slope:

1. Right-click on the slope segment.
2. Select Assign Materials from the popup menu.
3. Select the material you want to use.

To quickly assign a material to the entire slope:

1. Right-click on the slope segment.
2. Select Assign Materials to Entire Slope from the popup menu.
3. Select the material you want to use.

TIP: Multiple adjacent slope segments can be quickly assigned material by enclosing them in a selection window. Click and hold the left mouse button, and drag to create a window. All segments within and crossing the window will be assigned the material. For example, you could quickly assign a single material to the entire slope in this manner.
