Moving Slope Vertices
To move a slope vertex (or vertices):
- Select Move Vertices from the Slope menu.
- Use the mouse to select the vertices that you wish to move. (when selected, 1/3 of the slope segments on either side of a selected vertex will be highlighted with a red dashed line).
- Press the Enter key when you have finished selecting the slope vertices you wish to move.
- A grey cross will appear. Use this to select the location for the base point of the movement. (enabling snapping will allow you to pick a vertex more quickly).
- Use the cross the select the location of the point of the displacement. As you move your mouse, notice the change in the slope geometry.
You can also enter the to point in the prompt line at the bottom. As well, you can press ESC at any time to cancel the operation and return all slope vertices to their original location.
Tips
- When selecting the base point and the to point, use Snapping or type in the coordinates.
- When selecting the vertices to move, if you move the mouse while keeping the button pressed, this will create a "window" you can use to select multiple vertices.
- To quickly edit the location of one vertex only, right-click on the vertex and select Move To, Move Relative, or Move by Distance and Angle from the popup menu.
