Convergence Plot

The Convergence Plot Plot Icon option in the Groundwater menu, allows you to view the convergence history of the finite element groundwater analysis.

The solution is considered to have converged when the difference in discharge velocity between iterations, at all nodes of the mesh, is less than a user-specified Tolerance. The Tolerance is specified by the user in the Project Settings dialog in the Slide2 Model program.

If your groundwater analysis is not converging or is giving unexpected results, then you should view the Convergence Plot to determine if the analysis is converging smoothly. If it is not, then you should check your model (boundary conditions, hydraulic properties, tolerance), and make sure that there are no errors in your model.
