Convert Tool to Boundary

The Convert Tool to Boundary option can be used to convert polyline, polygon or pencil drawing tools, into Slide2 model boundaries (e.g. material boundary, water table, tension crack, etc).

The Convert Tool to Boundary option is only available in the Slide2 Model program; it is not available in Slide2 Interpret.

To use Convert Tool to Boundary:

1. Select Convert Tool to Boundary from the Tools menu.
2. Use the mouse to select the drawing tools you would like to convert.
• You can only select polyline, polygon or pencil drawing tools
• You can select multiple tools at the same time
3. When you are finished selecting, press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection.
4. You will see a dialog which allows you to select the type of boundary that you would like to convert the selected tools into (e.g. material boundary, water table, piezometric line, tension crack).
5. Select a boundary type in the dialog, select OK, and all selected drawing tools will be converted into the selected boundary type.

Right-Click Shortcut

Convert Tool to Boundary is also available as a right-click option for individual tools:

1. Right-click on a polyline, polygon or pencil tool.
2. A popup menu will appear with a Convert Boundary sub-menu.
3. Choose a boundary type from the sub-menu and the selected tool will be converted to the new boundary type.
