Define Support
To define support properties, select Define Support from the toolbar or the Properties menu.
For a general overview of the support implementation in Slide2, see the Overview of Support Implementation topic.
For details about the different support types which can be modelled in Slide2, see the following topics.
- End Anchored
- Geosynthetic
- Grouted Tieback
- Grouted Tieback With Friction
- Micro Pile
- Soil Nail
- Launched Soil Nail
- RSPile
- Helical Anchor
- Retaining Wall (EFP)
To allow maximum flexibility in defining support properties, if the pre-defined support types listed above are not adequate for defining the behaviour of a particular support system, you can create a user-defined support type. See the User-Defined Support topic for details.
Use external loads in strength computation
This checkbox is used for the computation of the normal stress used in determining frictional pullout strength. Turn this checkbox on to handle cases with temporary loads.
